Eva Dal Canto

After completing her B.A. in Philosophy at the University of Florence, Eva Dal Canto gained an M.A. in Early Modern History at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. In her M.A. thesis Los Ojos del Alma. L’universo onirico di conversori e convertiti nella provincia peruviana fra il XVI e il XVII secolo (“The Eyes of the Soul. The Oniric Universe of Missionaries and Converts in the Peruvian Province between the Sixteenth and the Seventeenth Century”), written under the supervision of Prof. Marina Caffiero, she examined the use of dreams and visions as a narrative device for conversions in the Jesuit missions in colonial Peru. Since October 2017, she has been part of the editorial board of the Giornale di Storia. Her interests include historical anthropology, the history of religions and global history.
